Halifax and the surrounding communities have been a popular tourist destination for over two hundred years. Vintage tourist guides provide a unique snapshot of what was considered noteworthy historically and developmentally over the years. They also provide an interesting way of exploring the city through fold-out maps and scenic photographs. This collection consists of tourist guides from the Halifax area from the 1880's to late 1960's. Each booklet includes a map that may feature local landmarks, communities and transportation services.
